Losing Weight with the Slimming World Diet

The slimming world diet is a popular weight loss program that is based on calorie restriction through the course of the diet. There are many food options that come with the diet plan and this allows the dieter to lose weight through the simple and easy meal planning process. It has been hailed a healthy diet plan that allows the dieter to use low calorie foods that are high in fiber that allows the dieter to consume healthy foods with the small amounts of foods that they enjoy as treats.

The slimming world diet is effective as a weight loss program as it takes into account the three following factors when it comes to having a successful weight loss program:

What is food optimizing? The process of food optimizing allows the dieter to reduce the foods that they eat that are high in fat and follow a diet plan that uses low calorie foods to make up the better portion of the diet. There is a list of foods available to dieters that are considered to be “free foods”. These foods are used to fill the dieter up while satisfying any cravings that may come about.

The common list of free foods includes, lean meat, poultry, fish, eggs, pasta, rice, potatoes, vegetables and fruits. These foods are consumed through the bulk of the meals to assist in the process of the weight loss program. A combination or restriction of these foods is used to create the food plan that the dieter chooses to follow.

There are three types of food plans that are used throughout the course of the diet. The first meal plan is referred to as the green plan offers unlimited carbohydrates with small amounts of protein in the diet. The second plan is referred to as the red plan; this plan includes unlimited amounts of protein, and limited amounts of carbohydrates within the diet. The third plan uses a combination of the red and green plan encompasses the foods which are used within both plans.

If you wish to consume your favorite foods that are not listed in the diet plan, these foods are given a value listed as a “syn” value. This value is kept to a maximum of between ten and fifteen per day and every food that you crave that is not part of the diet plan is assigned a value. Tracking these values can assist in the weight loss process.

Exercise is an essential part of the diet to help the consumer to lose weight through the diet program. Aside from exercise, the program enlists the support of group members of the group through the course of meetings once per week. At these meetings, weight loss techniques are measured and discussed through the diet planning method. Studies have shown that dieters that have attended these meetings have seen a higher success rate than those that have been unable to attend the meetings through the weight loss process.
