There is sugar in many of the foods that we eat on a daily basis. The body becomes cleansed and as a side effect, the dieter can often see pounds of weight being lost through this initial sugar addict’s diet program.

The next phase of the sugar addict’s diet will reduce the amount of calories that are eaten while taking part on the sugar addict’s diet. Small amounts of sugar are introduced back into the diet program, but most of the foods that are consumed are based on natural sugars that are found in fruits, vegetables and whole grains. These natural sugars have a positive effect on the body and can create energy, as opposed to a diet plan that causes spikes in energy levels, spikes in insulin and can contribute to weight gain. Through this phase of the diet the dieter will have access to information that can help to make healthy choices which contribute to weight loss.

The sugar addict’s diet is similar to diets which follow a low carbohydrate diet. Refined carbohydrate and the types of foods that these entail are often high in sugars. To reduce the amount of sugar in the diet, it can be easy, when these carbohydrates are removed from the diet.

No doubt, removing sugar from the diet is going to be difficult. Sugar is addictive!
